Hey fellow book lovers! Since I’m still very new to the blogosphere, I thought it would be nice to let you get to know me better. And what’s a better way to do that than with books! I found the Get To Know Ya book tag on a book blog list and saw a lovely post by Perfectly Tolerable and knew I had to do one of my own even though I wasn’t tagged. Here is my Get To Know Ya Book Tag!

1) FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME

This is a horrible question to ask a book lover! It’s so hard for me to just choose one since I love so many. Should I choose one I’ve loved the longest, for the characters, the plot, or the nostalgia? But since I have to choose one, I will choose Jane Eyre because it’s very beautifully written and one of the few classics I personally love to reread.

2) FAVORITE BOOK FIVE YEARS AGO

Five years ago I was a junior in high school so I didn’t have as much time for reading but I do remember really loving The Divergent Series. So much so that my mom bought me one of the books as a gift when one of the movies were coming out.

Definitely The Lunar Chronicles! I love this series so much!

4) LAST BOOK YOU READ

Five Feet Apart was the last book I read and the ending broke me. (Book review coming soon)

5) LAST BOOK OF POETRY YOU READ

I haven’t read much poetry so I can’t think of any actual poetry books. Does a book with a character who writes poetry count? If so, then my favorite is 100 Days of Sunlight which has a character who is a poetry blogger in it.

6) WHAT BOOK MOST INFLUENCED YOUR LIFE

This question took me a while to think of an answer. But I would say Jane Eyre again because it was the first classic book I connected with and that spoke to me deeply. It also encouraged me to want to read more classic novels.

7) BOOK THAT MADE YOU UGLY CRY

All the Bright Places is one the most heartbreakingly beautiful books I’ve ever read. I love this book so much but it’s defiantly a hard book to reread.

8) BOOK THAT MADE YOU LAUGH

Any scene with Thorne in The Lunar Chronicles made me laugh so much, especially when he’s with Cinder. I love their sibling-like friendship dynamic, it’s hilarious.

9) CHARACTER YOU’D LIKE TO BE FOR A DAY

I would love to be Anne Shirley for sure! I relate to her so much and am basically a more introverted quiet version of her. So I think it would be nice to be her for a day in order to help me be more vocal about my thoughts and feelings. Also so I could have Gilbert Blythe be in love with me… swoon! That would be the best day ever for sure!

10) BOOK SO GOOD YOU DREAMT ABOUT IT

I don’t remember my dreams, but I am a maladaptive daydreamer. Some of my daydreams consist of me hanging out with all my favorite characters so I can’t just think of one book to choose from and it changes a lot based on my mood.

11) BOOK YOU DNFed

I have only finished reading the first three books in the Anne of Green Gables series. I started reading the fourth one but stopped, I forget why. But I definitely want finish reading all of the books eventually since I love Anne and Gilbert so much.

12) WHAT BOOK ARE YOU EXCITED TO READ

Pretty much EVERY book on my TBR list but right now I’m really looking forward to getting and reading Loveless by Alice Oseman. I love that it is a coming of age story with a character that is going to University and has never had a crush or been in love. And this story is #ownvoices with AroAce representation which is very great!

So this was my Get To Know Ya Book Tag and I tag anyone who’s reading! Hope you all enjoyed!
