My Answers:

What’s the story behind your blog’s name?

I wanted my blog name to basically be just a description of myself without using my name. The book lover part was easy to come up with because of that. The daydreaming part is a nod to me being a maladaptive daydreamer and also my dreamy-like head in the clouds personality. So that pretty much the gist of my blog being called Daydreaming Book Lover.

If you could re-read any book as though it would be your first time reading it, what would you pick? Why?

Oh, theres so many to choose from! But I think I’ll choose Jane Eyre because reading that book for the first time was one of my favorite reading experiences ever.

What do you like to do outside of blogging?

Hobby-wise I do mostly reading (of course), also writing, and binge-watching tv shows. Other than that I’m usually napping, daydreaming, or bothering my family with random fangirl rants.

If you woke up tomorrow in the world of a book you’ve read, which one would you hope it was?

This is such a hard question because I don’t read lot’s of fantasy. So most of the books that are not contemporary are usually dystopian worlds which definitely don’t have the best worlds to live in! So I’m probably going to pick something Sci-fi and say The Lunar Chronicles cause then I can live in a world where theres a cyborg queen on the moon which is really cool!

What would the title of your biography/memoir be?

My Concept of Happiness is Purely Based on Fiction: Memoir by Me

  Or

I’d Rather be Sleeping: Memoir by Me

Do you use traditional bookmarks or something else?

I do have some traditional bookmarks but I’m the type of person that would use random things around me as bookmarks like pieces of paper but I NEVER dog-ear my books!

What was your favorite book as a kid?

I wasn’t as into reading when I was a little kid, I didn’t really get into reading until I was in middle school. Other than reading the Outsiders for school which fueled my love of characters in storytelling, I remember there was one book series that I enjoyed at that time. It was the Secrets of My Hollywood Life series which followed a teenage girl that was a star of a popular soap opera and her struggle of being in the spotlight but also wanting to have a normal everyday life.

What book would you love to see get made into a tv show or movie?

I would love to see  The Lunar Chronicles book series turned into a tv show because that would be so awesome!

What made you fall in love with reading?

I love how books can take you away from reality and you can just be in another world for hours. Also getting to know characters as I read is so much fun because it’s almost as if I’m meeting and befriending a real person. As a reader and writer, I’m a big fan of characters, of character development and how real they feel when you read. Character driven stories are my favorite and if a story is just focused on plot, it’s really hard for me to be interested.

Be honest: do you ever judge a book off its cover?

I’m not ashamed to say that I do, it is the first thing I see in a book so I can’t help it. But I won’t read a book just because the cover is pretty, I have to be interested in the story as well.

What’s your ideal reading set up?

Usually, I prefer being cosy in my bed or on the couch, with no one around to bother me. I have a hard time reading when other people are around making noise.

  2. I loved reading your answers! Cinder as a tv series would be amazing! Can you imagine each book as a season or something? Ahhh that would be a dream!

People love to claim that book covers shouldn’t matter but honestly they do. If not consciously than subconsciously because like you I’m visual person and the first thing that grips me is the illustration or art of the book cover.

Thank you so much for tagging me Sienna! I really appreciate it.

    1. Each book in TLC as a series would be really cool! Or if each episode is like 50m mins, the whole book series could be one season with each book being a few episodes. This is all proof I’ve thought way too much about this but that’s just because I really LOVE this series. I was happy to tag you cause I really love your blog and I look forward to your answers!
